A voluntary, solitary retreat in nature, where for several days you fast in silence, prayer and deep connection.
The mountain, the wind, the animals, everything is connected. In this offering ceremony we allow ourselves deep observation, to receive a vision for our lives. It is not about a spectacular vision, but about opening the spirit to perceive existence more honestly. Though the experience is individual, it is held by the community and spiritual guides who prepare, protect and help integrate what is lived.

How you take part
Come as a quester, or as a supporter
This is a ceremony in which families and community gather with a sacred purpose. There are two ways to take part.
The quester
Those who go to the mountain to undertake the fast, alone with the land in prayer. To quest, you will first have accompanied a ceremony as a supporter, so the ground is already familiar to your spirit.
The supporter
Those who hold the prayers from the camp, in the company of the guides, while the questers fast. A first, beautiful way to feel into this ceremony before one day questing yourself.

The ten days
The shape of the quest
Purification
June 17–20
We enter the inipi each day, cleansing and preparing body and spirit for the days of hanblecheyapi to come.
Opening
June 21
The opening ceremony, with plant medicine, to bless and begin the quest.
The fast
June 22–25
Questers plant themselves on the mountain for their fast. At camp, teachings, medicines and sweat lodge continue, the community holding prayer throughout.
Harvest
June 26
Questers come down from the mountain, and we gather for the closing ceremony to honour what was received.
Departure
June 27
Camp pack-up and departure. Integration support with Miranda Vires continues long after you return home.

The place
The Andean mountains of Antioquia
The vision quest is held high in the Colombian Andes, in Antioquia, far from the noise of ordinary life. The mountain, the wind and the animals become your companions and teachers.
The land itself is part of the ceremony: it holds you as you fast, and it answers when you listen.
