8-Day Yagé Retreat | Putumayo, Colombia

Eight days in the jungle, a true immersion

Three yagé ceremonies woven with sweat lodge, plant cleanses and deep rest, in the territory where the medicine was born. Time enough to soften, open, and be met.

An invitation

More than a ceremony. A return to yourself.

The 8-day retreat is small and personally attended, so no one is ever a face in a crowd.

You arrive as a guest and are welcomed into a family. There is no rigid schedule, ceremonies by day and by night are woven around the rhythm of the group, with rest, river, fire, and food made with love between them. Eight days is enough to step fully out of ordinary life and give yourself the space, safety and support to meet yourself honestly.

What the days hold

Arrival

Days 1–2

You settle into the land, meet the taitas and your group, and rest from the journey. We talk through intentions, the dieta, and what to expect, so you step into the first ceremony grounded and unhurried.

Ceremony

Day and night

Ceremonies are held both by day and by night, guided by the taitas with song, smoke and prayer in earthen malocas. There is no rigid schedule, the rhythm is shaped around each group, so the work can unfold as it needs to. You are attended throughout, never left alone with the medicine, and each ceremony is followed by space to rest and be cared for.

Rest and river

Days between

Between ceremonies the pace is slow and restorative: nourishing meals, the river, the forest, gentle conversation, and time to simply be. This spaciousness is part of the medicine, not a pause from it.

Integration

Closing and beyond

Before you leave, we help you begin making sense of what arose and how to carry it home. Integration support with Miranda Vires continues long after, through calls, community and monthly circles.

The place

The Putumayo, where the medicine grows

Our retreats are held in the Colombian Amazon, in the territory recognized as the birthplace of yagé. This is not a borrowed tradition transplanted elsewhere, it is the medicine in its own home, among the people who have carried it for generations.

The land itself is part of the healing: river, canopy, birdsong, fire and sky. You will feel held by it.
